Describe five ways/sources by which we can develop sincerity in our worships and actions.

Answer:

1. Enhance your personal life:

The first stage of honesty, according to Imam Al-Ghazali, is having a similar private and public state.

1. اپنی ذاتی زندگی کو بہتر بنائیں

امام غزالی کے نزدیک ایمانداری کا پہلا مرحلہ نجی اور عوامی ریاست کا ایک جیسا ہونا ہے۔

 

2. Beg Allah for truthfulness

Oh Allah, I seek refuge in associating partners with you consciously, and I seek your pardon if I did so unknowingly, the Prophet (saws) would say.

2. اللہ سے سچائی کی دعا مانگو

اے اللہ میں جان بوجھ کر تیرے ساتھ شریک ٹھہرانے سے پناہ مانگتا ہوں اور اگر میں نے انجانے میں ایسا کیا ہو تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرماتے۔

 

3. Cover up your noble deeds

"It is good if you reveal your Sadaqat (almsgiving), but it is preferable for you if you conceal them and give to the needy. You will have part of your sins forgiven by Allah. (Quran 2:271) On the Day of Judgment, when there will be no other shade but that of Allah, the Prophet said: "Allah will shade seven categories of mankind." "The one who donates charity and keeps it so secret to the extent that his left hand does not know the right hand gave," he said of two of these people. "And the one who, in private, recalls Allah till tears well up in his eyes." "Hide your good actions (from the people) just as you hide your misdeeds," advised Salameh Bin Dinar.

3. اپنے نیک اعمال کو ڈھانپیں۔

"اگر تم اپنے صدقات کو ظاہر کرو تو یہ اچھی بات ہے، لیکن اگر تم ان کو چھپا کر ضرورت مندوں کو دو تو یہ تمہارے لیے افضل ہے، اللہ کے ہاں تمہارے گناہوں کا کچھ حصہ معاف ہو جائے گا۔" (قرآن 2:271) قیامت کے دن قیامت، جب اللہ کے سوا کوئی سایہ نہ ہو گا، نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "اللہ سات قسم کے انسانوں پر سایہ کرے گا۔" وہ شخص جو صدقہ کرتا ہے اور اسے اس حد تک پوشیدہ رکھتا ہے کہ اس کے بائیں ہاتھ کو خبر نہ ہو۔ آپ نے ان میں سے دو لوگوں کے بارے میں فرمایا، "دائیں ہاتھ نے دیا" اور وہ جو تنہائی میں اللہ کو یاد کرتا ہے یہاں تک کہ اس کی آنکھوں میں آنسو آجائے۔ سلمہ بن دینار نے مشورہ دیا۔

 

4. Avoid being arrogant.

Our nice deeds will become sincere if we minimise them. Never elevate your excellent deeds; rather, recognize that Allah's favor is the only reason for them. Therefore, don't assert your purity because Allah is most aware of those who fear Him. (Quran 53:32)

Never be proud of your righteous deeds and ask Allah to preserve them.

4. تکبر سے بچیں۔

اگر ہم ان کو کم کریں گے تو ہمارے اچھے کام مخلص ہو جائیں گے۔ اپنے اچھے اعمال کو کبھی بلند نہ کرو۔ بلکہ اس بات کو پہچانو کہ ان کے لیے صرف اللہ کا فضل ہے، اس لیے اپنی پاکیزگی کا دعویٰ نہ کرو کیونکہ اللہ تعالیٰ ڈرنے والوں کو خوب جانتا ہے۔ (قرآن 53:32)

اپنے اعمال صالحہ پر کبھی فخر نہ کریں اور اللہ سے ان کی حفاظت کی دعا کریں۔

 

5. Avoid receiving praise:

The Prophet stated, "You have destroyed or chopped the back of the guy," after hearing a man exalt another man and praise him.

We should always work to win others over, but we should never brag. Always keep in mind that Allah is the source of everything. Our status in this world does not improve our standing in Allah's eyes.

And other than this, their only directive was to worship Allah while being wholly devoted to the Din. [98:5 in Al-Qur'an]

We supplicate Allah to make our deeds sincere for Him.

5. تعریف حاصل کرنے سے بچیں

نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، "تم نے اس آدمی کی کمر توڑ دی ہے یا کاٹ دی ہے،" یہ سن کر کہ ایک آدمی دوسرے آدمی کی تعریف کرتا ہے۔

ہمیں ہمیشہ دوسروں کو جیتنے کے لیے کام کرنا چاہیے، لیکن ہمیں کبھی شیخی نہیں مارنی چاہیے۔ ہمیشہ یاد رکھیں کہ اللہ ہر چیز کا سرچشمہ ہے۔ اس دنیا میں ہماری حیثیت اللہ کی نظر میں ہماری حیثیت کو بہتر نہیں بناتی ہے۔

اور اس کے علاوہ ان کا حکم صرف یہ تھا کہ اللہ کی عبادت مکمل طور پر دین کے لیے وقف ہو۔ [98:5 القرآن میں]

ہم اللہ سے دعا کرتے ہیں کہ وہ ہمارے اعمال کو اس کے لیے مخلص بنائے۔
